We’ll be spending a morning together at the gallery to look at all the maps that have been done and to discuss first findings and observations. The idea is still to translate observations about the student’s use of public space into a design concept for the wooden platform in the garden next to Myvillages’ Gartenhaus.
The facts, maps and diagrams made by the students were impressive and ranged from a break-down of fashion-to-wear-in-certain-places to a comprehensive study including 80 fellow students on what they do in their spare time. This seems plenty, from chatting to shopping, chilling and gaming – much more than we expected after our first conversations.
We sketched out the platform in the garden and collected all the attributes that would be important for its re-design.
Next steps are: dreaming up crazy ideas, building one to one models, construct the real thing.
